IP Camera as Baby Monitor - Babysitter/grandparents?

Hi All,

  Our little one is due in June and my husband and I are trying to figure out what video monitor to get. I know there are a lot of posts about this (we read quite a few), but none of them addressed our questions...

 We are a high tech family so an IP camera like Foscam sounds great but what do people do when you have a sitter or grandparents watch your little one? Are there any handheld units you can buy instead of the need for the sitter to have a smartphone?

 We sort of narrowed it to:

- Foscam IP camera

- Samsung 3037

- Summer Infant Boost or babytouch

 - Motorola

 

Any help is appreciated.

    We are going the same route. As best as I can tell, there are no handheld units. We both have old smartphones-one is going to be designated as the handset here at home. It doesn't not have service, but it is wifi enabled. You also can view from your compu
