Who has a kiddo still using a paci?

And are you starting to worry about taking it away?

At his new daycare, DS doesn't have a paci at all, not even for nap time. But at home he seems to always have one either in his mouth or carrying a handful around. We try to keep them in the crib but he pulls them out. We try to keep them in a "special place" during the day but he climbs to get them. They're like his loveys. I sometimes joke we could take all his toys away and he'd be happy with just his pacis.

I want to try to start weaning him off of them, though. Right now I just think we need 3 in the crib (yes, 3, because he sleeps with 1 in his mouth and 1 in each hand) and keep 1 in each car to stay in the car...  But I don't even know if THAT is possible.

If he can do without it at daycare you'd think he could at home, too. But it almost seems as if not having it at daycare (at his old dc he still got a paci at nap) he's more attached to them than ever at home.

Off to read up about quitting the paci habit...
