Babywearing in the shower?

How does it work? DS needs pretty constant attention and doesn't nap alone so I don't really have a good time to shower. I've been taking a shower in the evenings so DH can handle everything but DS is always cranky because he's tired and just wants to cuddle and nurse which leaves DH feeling like DS doesn't like him because he just wants me.

So what are the logistics of babywearing in the shower? I think it would be nice to be able to shower in the morning with DS but I'm not sure how well it would actually work with the soap, water spraying and whatnot. Share your stories!

    You can use a mesh ring sling (several makers like sleeping baby productions and comfy joey sell them) or a water wrap like the gypsy mama water wrap but...personally unless you want to have baby in the shower for the fun of baby in the shower, I would

    Thanks for responding! I figured it wouldn't be as logical as I had hoped. I'm just dying to take a shower and accomplish everything I want. I'm always rushing to get out bc DS is screaming. I have got to shave these legs!

    When I shower while DH is at work, I take a bouncer in the bathroom. After I wash her I wrap her in a towel and put her in it. i talk to her while I shower and she sits there happily.

    Thanks for all the good ideas! I took a shower this morning with LO in a bouncer in the bathroom. Shaved my legs and all! He did ok, but he did scream for a few minutes at the end.

    I've consdered taking a bath with him but what do you do? Do yo

    We had an infant mesh bath (summers eve?) seat that we used occasionally when DS was younger.  My husband has gotten in the bathtub and held him since he was about 2 months old.  So I use the infant seat as a holding place outside the shower for

    I have showered with my LO for the last three days.  He is contested and I bring him in the shower with me to let the steam loosen him up and I suck out the boogies while he sits in his tub.  I wrap him in a baby towel and hold him so he is not

    Don't use the bumbo in the tub! It's foam and will float!!

     

    I used to put LO in the RNP while I showered. I could even open the curtain and stand where she could see me and that was enough to keep her mostly happy.

    When DD could sit in one of those assisted sitting bath seat we did shower baths A LOT. I would put a little warm water in the bottom of the tub for her and turn her away from the shower head and I'd shower why she played. It worked out great. We also did

    I put my son in a bouncy seat outside the shower and bought a clear shower curtain so he could see me. Never had a problem. I think the sound of the shower soothed him along with him being able to see me.
