clogged duct question

Ok, I admit to feeling a little silly asking this after 8 weeks of ebf, but there are so many ladies on here that know their stuff I figured its worth it !!! :

How do I know if I have a clogged duct? The reason I think I might is that one side has several "sprayers" lol while pumping, and the other has only one or two... I feel like they used to both have several...

I'm sure I should know the answer to this... I'll blame mommy brain! Lol

  • For me, clogged ducts have always been very painful.  You would notice a hard section of your breast where the milk is backed up from not coming out properly.  Sometimes I notice a tiny blister on my nipple too.  HTH.

  • same - ive noticed a hard lump, or still feel full after feeding/pumping - almost like i could tell i wasn't emptying totally.   ALOT of massaging and heat for a few days helped in my case.
