Is this silly?

My son came down with hand foot and mouth this past week and the only place that I can think that he got it from was the playground. That was the only public place we went to twice last week. He was on the swings forever and my mom said that was probably the jackpot.

Would you find it silly seeing a mom wipe down the baby swings before putting them in? I always used to laugh a little to myself whenever I saw the germaphobe mamas do this in public places because you can't avoid germs...kids are going to get sick. But this is one virus I never want him to encounter again. I'll take a cold and fever over these blisters any day!!

Obviously I'm not going to disinfect the entire playground But do any of you wipe down swings especially if your kid spends a lot of time in them? I know I shouldn't care what others think, just wondering if it's common and I'm just not up to par with mama duties Tongue Tied
