Control Freak...

I've never considered myself a control freak but having my friends plan my shower has been nerve wracking, especially since they are traveling into town and don't know many of my local in-state guests. When my friends asked to host I accepted even though other friends had offered but I didn't want split showers or multiple showers. (I've been on bed rest and can't travel out of state for the next 3 months)

 

I gave a date and time to my friends and i just saw the evite and my friends picked a time that doesn't work for my local guests. Do I ask the hosts to change it for me? Or go ahead with their time frame knowing it won't work with my local friends.

    I find it strange that all of your local guests would have something going on at the exact same time.
    No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.

    2. Why doesn't the time work for just your local friends? That's weird to me.

    3. Why is this so "nerve-wracking" for you? Sit back and let them throw you a party.

    I think one of my showers will have a low show up rate, because my host could only do it on a week night, really odd time for a shower but she was insisting in hosting. But that's ok, you can never find a time that everyone can make it, and I don't expect

    If the invitations have gone out, I kind of think the ship has sailed unless you have a small enough guest list to have the hosts personally contact everyone to change it.

    all the local guests are from church and we all have a Saturday meeting from 10-2p. they might ditch it but then I would feel bad that my shower was taking over an important meeting. I mentioned it to the host but I think it was ignored or overlooked&nbsp

    that's basically what I was feeling and I ended up calling the host who's been my best friend for years. I felt bad asking for a specific time and just felt like I was ''controlling'' the shower. thanks for getting it.
