    I think it shows a ton of promise! A big fireplace, a family room right near the kitchen  and a huge yard? All good stuff!

    Yes, it does have everything I wanted "on paper."  It just has a lot of big projects because all that flooring is vinyl, etc.  The bathrooms are disgraceful.  LOL I really see what it could be, though.

    Hmm, I'm wondering if we could salvage the vanity and just add a different top, sink and faucet.

    The sink on the peninsula is a little weird to me, but I agree with jilly - it looks like it has a lot of promise.

    And you're so smart to look past the current style of the house.  Style can always be redone, even if it takes a while.

    Ohhh, I love 60's ranches!  I know, I'm dorky, but to me they just say "family home", lol!  Cheekers, you'll do a great job, nice choice!

    I totally agree that it has a ton of promise.  It is great that you are able to see what you "want" it to be.  My H struggles to have that vision and it really limited our choices when house hunting to homes that were "move-in ready".

    Oh, this is not what I pictured as a "fixer"!  It's cute and looks pretty nice!  Totally livable!  I saw holes in walls, asbestos, electrical issues, paneling when you said fixer upper...this house is totally fixable!

    What a great house!  I think it's nice to be able to put your touch on it and have it be exactly the house you want it to be.

    I think it's a great house! I personally like the idea that as you 'upgrade' the home you can do it exactly how you want it.

    Nice! We are almost 3/4 done with a total gut and remodel on our new house. It has been a long haul, demo day 1 was 1/31 LOL I can't wait to get it all done and move! Can't wait to hear what you guys decide!
