Experience with IVIG and/or Intralipids

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind a question from a lurker.  I've been posting on Third Party Reproduction, since I used DE for my last cycle, which ended in a chemical pregnancy.

Anyway, I recently had a consult with an RI, and one of the recommendations is that I'll need IVIG (which is very $$$$ and probably cost prohibitive right now, unless I want to take out a loan--but that is another story). 

I remember seeing some siggys where women have used Intralipids successfully and was wondering why that wasn't suggested to me, as an alternative to IVIG?  From the little I've read about it, it seems to provide similar results, but at a fraction of the cost of IVIG.  But I also can't help but wonder, is it also really less effective?  Of course, I want to maximize my chances for my next FET, given that I only have a limited # of frozen embryos remaining from my DE cycle...and if none of these FET's work, I think we're pretty much done with IF treatments.

Any experience or advice you can provide on your experience with either Intralipids or IVIG is very much appreciated!!

Me: AMA, DOR, undetectable AMH, carrier of SMA, MTHFR homozygous C677T, high cytokines, low IGg B cells, Factor XIII V34l mutation, High Anti-Phosphatidylethanolmine, borderline hypothyroid and mildly insulin resistant.

 

MH: No known issues, aside from MTHFR.

 

Recommendations from RI: LIT, Humira, IVIG, Lovenox, Baby Aspirin, Folic Acid, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

 

Currently taking:  Pre-Natal vitamins, Foltanx, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin. 

 

When cycling also taking: Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Humira and IVIG.

 

TTC since 7/11/09..with medical intervention starting in 2010, including 4 failed IVF's and 6 failed IUI's...only "success" was a chemical pregnancy in 11/2012 (credited to use of DE).

FET #1 (11th cycle) on 8/23/13 = BFN.

FET #2 (12th cycle) Transfer of last two (day 6) donor egg blasts on 1/22/14 = BFP, EDD = 10/10/14 (please stick little BOY!)

    I have gotten IVIG 3x this pregnancy. It is much more effective depending your diagnosis the only thing intralipids are useful for are High NK cells. What was your diagnosis. My IVIG is 2400 for the meds and 300 for the nurse. I use IVIG to lower my TNF w

    DH didn't want to go to Mexico either but I basically said you want a kid or not. Yes we spent 9k but I have never been this pg before and it's cheaper than ivf or adoption. I would keep at him and write down how much other things are compared to doing th

    Lol another option if DH doesn't want to go to Mexico is for you to go and use a third party donor. My friend used a third party and it worked.
