  You're in Texas, right?  Here is the law surrounding midwives in your state.  Texas does not require Medicare reimbursement for midwifery care so it's doubtful that they would require it of insur

  Have you contacted your CNM to see how they get around this? My birth center is familiar with my insurance company and knows the tricks for billing them since they are out of network.
