MSPI moms, are they outgrowing it yet?

I think I will be a PW this morning.

Anyway, those of you dealing with MSPI, has anyone had luck with their babes outgrowing it yet? I tried weaning DS off Alimentum for a day onto Similac Sensitive and he broke out in eczema on his entire body. So I guess that was a fail. He is doing fine on baby food so far. He had one rash reaction but unfortunately I can no longer remember what it was to. I am going for mom-of-the-year here.

  • You may have competition for mom of the year. I are hot dog rolls without reading the label. Don't know wtf I was thinking. They had whey and soy flour. K got a big ol rash. I an mostly annoyed it had both so I don't know if it was one thing or the other.

  • We won't try anything until we meet with an allergist. Recently DD had some dried milk on her hands and touched DS. He broke out in hives everywhere she touched, so he hasn't outgrown it yet.
Intolerances are often outgrown by age 1, allergies by 5

  • We are just now having success,as in this week, adding in milk with our 20 month old DD1.

We will not try with the babies until 1 year old.
  • No outgrowing it yet. :(

FWIW, DS has/had an actual allergy to dairy (he didn't test allergic til 1yr although he was having problems from about 6w through bm) and I couldn't eat dairy until he was about 18 months old without him reacting v

  • Pediatric allergist told me to strictly avoid our intolerances (egg, dairy, soy) for 12-18 mos from the last exposure (not age of the child).

While I'd like to try goats milk something as I've read that can be managed by some children w

  • I think he had an intolerance, not an allergy. His only sign ever was the eczema, not blood in stool, no fussiness, etc. Even when we put him on Alimentum, he still got about 8 oz. of my breastmilk a day with no problems because I wanted to use my freezer

  • Rhett's intolerance is pretty mild, just a little gas, fussiness, and mucousy poop. I've been having a tiny bit of baked dairy for the last few days and so far, so good. I think I will probably leave it at that for now. I will continue to eat dairy free f
  • Im not sure what is going on but Colbys poop has been changing (most likely due to introducing solids) I had small slip ups while on vacation and so far he never reacted that I could tell but Im too scared to actually try adding some dairy back in.

  • Dd will just get gassy and have some messy poops if I have dairy, but it makes her miserable. I am not trying it until we are done introducing solids. With my boys I could eat dairy again around 810 mths

  • I thought she was getting better until she stole a green bean off my plate on Tuesday. She still has hives on her face from the damn butter on it. She has had smaller and smaller reactions when I have small amounts of dairy (lots of smalls in that sentenc
