items our little ones need

I'm trying to compile a list of items our 912 month olds will soon need. I believe a convertible car seat is necessary soon, child proofing since mine is now becoming Mobile... Is there anything else I'm missing? I thought of extra gates for the stairs as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    You could introduce some learning toys, things with buttons and lights that teach colors/letters and things like that.  We have the V-Tech learning farm toy that's a sit/stand/walk set up.  We also have a music table by Baby Einstein and the

    Learning things. We are stocking up on books, since DD is mimicking a lot of the words we say. We read books before, but now we want more variety, for the vocabulary.

    Ditto the learning toys, but they really don't have to light up and make noise!  Plain ole blocks, wooden puzzles, a ball, puppets and some books are my favorites!

    Some plates and child's silverware. Honestly, I don't think there is much they "need" at this age. It's nice! lol
