Major Congestion

I'm at 5 weeks and turn 6 tomorrow but I have a heck of a cold/ sinus, and of course there is nothing that you can do besides some home remedies that work. I was also told army first Prenatal visit that it is common for women in the 1st tri to get colds! This is not fun!

I am in the same boat...congestion, cough, runny nose...awful! I tried and went to Whole Foods and spent $65 on eldeberry, zinc, probiotics, echinacea and elderberry tea...you name it! LOLI finally broke down because I felt so miserable and emailed my OB

I also use a neti-pot. It is weird to get used to at first, but it is the only thing that helps my congestion. Plus i am not IN-gesting anything and that is the best thing for my baby.

I stumbled on this recipe on Pinterest and so far it's been awesome. You can either put one in your shower by your feet and inhale the steam or you can dissolve it in the tub.
