I am hosting book club this month and our book was a biography on Catherine the Great.
I want to serve some traditional Russian dishes (that aren't too difficult to make).
So far, I have found the following: cabbage soup, pirozhki (meat pies), pelmenhy (dumplings), beef stroganoff, blinis (I think I'll do these as dessert? with ice cream and berries), and Russian tea cakes?
Any other suggestions? Recipes would be greatly appreciated! TIA.
