XP: Chico Keyfit adapter for city mini?

Hey ladies. I will be going to the beach in a couple of weeks. I think my city mini GT will be a lot better for all the walking and for the beach than my snap and go.

My DS will be 3 months when we go and I know they don't suggest using it that young. My son is a big boy, 14 pounds as of two weeks ago, will probably be 15 by the time we go. 

 Do you think I need to purchase a carseat adapter? Do they even have them for the Chico Keyfit? I only saw an adapter at BBB for the Britax.

Anyone have the adapter? Are you still able to use the huge umbrella shade on the City Mini GT with the  carseat?

    Just put him directly in the stroller with it reclined.  You can buy a snuzzler for extra comfort.

    There is an adapter, mine is being delivered today, but I am about 80% sure that you need to remove the stroller canopy when you use the car seat.

    Thanks ladies! I really need the umbrella so I think I will try it in the recline position and use what first poster suggested.

    There is an adapter and you do have to remove the sun shade from the stroller I have the keyfit and gt and the adapter works great but if you don't think you'll use it often I would just use the stroller.

    I used the adaptor with my City Mini and Chicco Keyfit infant seat but you definitely cannot use the sunshade which was super annoying.  i would second what the other mamas said about putting him in the seat with it reclined all the way.  With the seat reclined and the seat belt on I never felt like there was a danger of him going anywhere and the sunshade on the stroller is amazing, you're shooting yourself in the foot if you go the adaptor route imo.  I only used the adaptor for maybe 3-4 months and that was just because it was winter time and we were mostly indoors...and I felt guilty because the thing was so expensive!
