We got an offer on our house!

I know I'm a very inconsistent poster here but none of my family is answering their phones and I have to get this out. On the one hand it's really exciting!! On the other it is a crazy low ball offer. Like $13k less than asking, plus $4,500 in closing (paid by us) plus close in one month (we still have to find a new house and pack) and they want our washer and dryer for free. We are obviously going to try to negotiate but ah! It's so frustrating because since the first offer is so low I'm worried he isn't going to move on the price and we will have to reject. Our house has only been listed five weeks today so it's not like he has reason to think we are desperate to move... thanks for listening!

I have no idea what the market is like where you are, but personally, I've never met a buyer who expected to get their first offer accepted. If they're serious about your house, they will be willing to negotiate. Good luck!&n
