How do you keep your LO entertained while you cook? There are some days that she's a ravenous beast who screams for snacks the whole time. I give her snacks, but she only wants more to eat. I don't want her to get full before the meal is finished, but it's hard to keep her happy while I am cooking. If DH is home from work, he keeps her entertained until we can eat, but some days I don't have that option.

    We have a sliding glass door in the kitchen that goes to the backyard and a concrete area right outside the door that he won't leave. I just leave the door open and he pushes around his lawn mower. That works about half the time. The rest of the time he s

    I feed her while I'm cooking. She eats the chopped veggies and anything that she can uncooked and then either left overs from the night before or whatever I'm making for E. I also keep pasta, sliced fruit, hard boiled eggs and chicken breast in the fridge

    I have a couple of tricks in this area (some you're already using):

    1) DH- like you, this doesn't always work.

    2) The super special snack table.  It's a folding plant stand.

    This is when I use the tv. I turn on mickey mouse club and set out crayons and paper. She also likes to help. I sit her on the counter and give her a bowl and a spoon and she stirs stuff.

    Thanks for the ideas! I really need to get a step stool so she can climb up and help like LBB.
