Laugh and Learn Puppy - worth it?

The laugh and learn puppy is $15 bucks on amazon right now - do you think I should get it? It has good reviews but wanted to check here first. Is it a toy that will be played with awhile?

DD likes it but, like PPs said, it goes off when no one is around it. Actually pretty creepy. Mine also has a short or something in it and keeps turning itself off.

It does come with an off button so if you don't want it randomly going off then just turn it off. DS likes it but truthfully right now, no toy is worth it because he plays with everything in the house besides his toys.

We have the british version ..sent by an Aunty.. he loves it .. $15 at Walmart too and I saw a manaufacturer coupon for $5 off on one of the coupon sites I think.

My son has never really liked it very much. I thought as he got older he might appreciate all the different things that it does but he just doesn't care. I bought mine with coupons for about $11 and I probably wouldn't buy it again even at that price.

Meh. There are very few toys that I think are essential (a play table, some kind of scooter/car, blocks). Grandma bought him a puppy toy and we keep it at her house and he plays with it sometimes when he's there...but it's not something I need to add to the oodles of toys we already have.

My SIL gave her one for Christmas. I don't think she has ever paid more than 2 minutes of attention to it.

You know you can turn it off on its back right? It took us ages to figure that out, but if you unvelcro the back you can turn it off.

The buttons are so sensitive on it. You barely touch it and it goes off. I guess that's good for a baby, but I left it on the floor in DD's room and as I was walking out after checking on her (she was sleeping) I barely bumped into it and it went off. It wasn't a fun night. I saw you could definitely pass on it.

DD loves it! It's not too annoying for us but my DH thinks its creepy. My SIL got it got DD for Christmas . My SIL said she was creeped out because as she was carrying the toy through the parking lot of her apartment complex in the dark all of a sudden the puppy went off and said "it's learning time!" Lol scared the sit out of her.

LOL, that's too funny! It's annoying as fu?k, but my son loves the stupid thing. I'd say it's worth it.
