I went to read the FFFC on SAHM out of curiousity after I saw the comment in our FFFC. It got me thinking...

If you take something accidently/unintentionally from a store, do you go back and pay for it when you discover the mistake?

I once accidently forgot to pay for a water bottle at Walmart. I had opened it and started drinking it and forgot to grab it by my purse at the check out (I was pg with DD and feeling really sick as I walked through the store, so I drank some water to try to help). I noticed it when I got in the car. While I didn't go back in and pay for it immediately, I explained what happened and asked them to ring it up when I went back the next time.

Usually if I accidentally take something, like I give my kids a squeeze pack or something while in the store then forget to ring it up, I will just ring up one the next time I'm in the store and leave it at the register. More often than not I'm at self

When I find things in my cart while I'm unloading, I usually take them back to the greeter. I've found things that got bagged but not rung up before after I got home and I never went back to pay for those.

I responded in the SAHM thread. Once I'm out of the store I usually won't go back in but I will always pay for it the next time. It's only happened to me a couple of times but I feel like if you know about it and don't make it right, it's stealing.

I just read the thread and it seems like this happens pretty regularly for some of the women! It makes me think that I this is a regular thing then and that it is more intentional than not.
