I need help

This year we've been having an issue with stray cats. We've lived in this house for 10yrs and its never been this bad. We are now seeing 10 to 15 cats now. They are shiiting all over the yard, patio and driveway.

Our town doesn't have animal control, so I called the county and they said they could set traps but it would cost me 70 dollars a day. No. How do I get them to stay away without hurting them? No poisons or anything like that. I was thinking when we fertilize the grass it might keep them away. Do you think that will work?

Fertilizer may kill them TBH. Since they may eat it and get poisoned. I would just trap them and take them to the Humane Society.

Moth balls. My mom used to put them in her gardens to keep cats from digging in them. Maybe if you placed them around your property it would deter them.

Thanks, I'm going to try the spray and moth balls. I'm not willing to handle them at all. We don't have any non profit places here. I don't think the fertilizer will kill them because all of the other animals resume residence in the yard. Seriously, I'm a

I just googled and moth balls are toxic. I don't need a bunch of dead or seriously ill cats on my hands. Thanks anyway.
