So... PPD caught up to me...

Hello All.

Depression and anxiety is something I struggled with a lot in my teens, and my OB told me to be on high alert to what I'm feeling postpartum. I have been fine up until a couple weeks ago. I just can't deal. I love my son. I do. Just sometimes he fusses and cries and it stresses me out so badly that I just can't deal with it. 

I don't really have any friends anymore, after being pregnant so I don't really know who else I can talk to about this that has BTDT. No one in my family has had PPD (or is willing to admit it if they did) so there is no support there. 

Can anyone relate to late hitting PPD? How do you deal? 

*I would especially like to hear from the single parents/civilian military wives/anyone else doing this alone*

    Well I'm not a single parent, military wife, or doing it alone, but I'm pretty sure what you're going through is somewhat normal.

    My DD is 5 1/2 months old and the first few months I was happy as pie. But now there are times where out of no where

    It does, yeah. Thank you. It just get's really challenging. I'm hoping that hanging out here will help things :)

    I guess I always thought that PPD only really hit after the first few weeks of what can be written off as "baby blues." I am getting some minimal help (like someone helping with laundry after my c/s, and to hold him while I shower, etc), but I am doing

    My PPD started when my first son was 4 months old. My second son is now 2.5 months old and it just hit me within the last few weeks. I was on Paxil with my older son and it made a world of a difference, even though I did put on some weight while on it.
