Baby Names

Tabitha

Looking for traditional yet not overly used girls names like Tabitha. Beatrice and Jane are examples of names I feel meets this criterion too but DH has vetoed both. He's on the fence about Tabitha. Some examples of name that don't fit the bill are: grace, Charlotte, Abigail.

  • My DD is Tabitha!  Love it.

She says, "I like my name.  Not all substitute teachers can pronounce it, but that doesn't bother me.  It means 'gazelle' which I like.  It's ironic because I'm not the most graceful person."<

  • Love Tabitha!    But I'm also of the generation that remembers that it was the daughter's name on "Betwitched."   Not a deal breaker, tho, since no one under 40 would probably remember that.
