My brother's crazy ex-girlfriend's equally nutty mother called my mom to ask about my shower and registry because she was planning to attend. Um... no. She didn't get an invitation for a reason. I have met this woman twice briefly. She couldn't be bothered giving her own daughter a gift that I really don't need to have her at mine.
When my mom said "this is a shower for Lily and Lily's friends," she said "oh I thought it was for family." She isn't MY family and she refers to me by the wrong name.
And... my brother and his ex-girlfriend are in an ugly custody dispute. I have never been close to his ex-girlfriend either.
