For two days my son has had a "light" runny nose, and excuse the term, but eye boogers. Now its only his right eye with matted lashes. Yellow discharge. Would you take him in or wait until Monday? (My Pedi isn't in town today so I would need to drive 30 minutes OR take him to Pediatric Urgent Care tomorrow.)
It almost looks like the "cold" has manifested itself in his eye--but not the redness of pinkeye...yet.

Sounds like a sinus infection with the yellow discharge. I'd drive the 30 minutes to the pedi today.

The yellow discharge is from his eyes--nose is clear. We are in GA so things are starting to bloom. He is 19 mos old and has not had an antibiotic yet. He had a low grade fever 2 nights ago, but none since.

The matted eyelashes and yellow eye discharge makes me think pink eye (which LO has had twice).
If it IS pink eye (and check under the lower lid - if it's bright red there, then it most likely is pink eye) ask the pedi for eye cream rather
