South Shore MA LGBT Family Meet Up.

I swear I am not a spammer.  I just want to find families in my area who also are same-sex couples with children.  I started a meetup.  Let me know if you are interested.

    Hi,

    My wife and I live on the South Shore, but our boys aren't quite born yet! We were hoping to find an LGBT group like this after they arrive in July and we get settled.

    There's a pretty big LGBT south shore meetup group.  It used to be run by a woman who was a part of this board.  It has kind of disbanded, due to lack of interest, but they have reformed a fairly large FB group.  I think if you find the meetup group and tell them about yourself, and prove you are legit, they will add you.  I'm not sure how it works.  It's been quiet over the winter but there seems to be more activities being added recently.

    Sorry!  I don't get on here often.  You can't join the FB group but you can join the LGBT meetup group and once you attend a meetup, you are asked to join the FB group.  It's private but open, if that makes any sense.  The more the merrier, but they want to be sure, since FB access so much personal info, that you are actually LGBT before adding you.  It's a fairly large group in the south shore.  I'm sure if you do a search for it in Meetup, you'll find it right away!

    It's been rather dead, which is why it was moved to FB so we wouldn't have to pay the dues (though they are keeping it open one more year for new members) It should be picking up now that it's spring. But if either of you are looking to get something going, it would be a good place to start!  There are a lot of us on there, but no one leading the group right now.  I'd love to have meetups but I'm not willing to lead the group.  I've got a 17 month old and am 17 weeks pregnant.
