Breakfast...

I guess since this is FFFC I can admit that I still give DS infant's rice cereal for breakfast on days that he goes to DC. I feel so dumb asking but should/can I give him plain instant oatmeal? Currently I mix the rice cereal with soy milk and applesauce, couldn't I be doing the same with oatmeal? If you have any other quick morning breakfast ideas for LO please feel free to suggest some ideas.

DS will only eat baby oatmeal, not the real thing. I have tried making it several ways. He also will not eat Cheerios in the morning, apparently they are an afternoon kind of snack. You are not alone!

I still give infant cereal because it is higher in iron than regular oatmeal. I usually mix in some sort of fruit, milk, cinnamon and heat it up. DS loves it. I also do pancakes, eggs, buttered toast, and just recently I found a recipe for a healthy break

Most days she eats at DC so I don't have to worry about it. When we have time, I do a quick snack like string cheese or yogurt. On the weekends we do oatmeal (the regular instant kind from a packet) or toast and fruit.

I haven't given Ian the cereal in a long time...I don't know that he'd eat it! I have tried "instant" oatmeal but he will not eat it. He will eat "regular" oatmeal though, if it's barely cooked...but that's how I eat it too. So, yes, you
