Hm. Another curveball.

Today our third-opinion doc said he'd be willing--no, pleased--to take our frozen embryos from the current RE and transfer them. He would also not subject me to the PIO that I've been dreading so much. His stats are better than my current RE's and he didn't have a problem taking me even though I've already started BCPs and had a baseline u/s with another clinic.

Mr. Scoop likes him not quite as much as the RE who urged us to get an FET with our current RE but infinitely more than the current RE.

I cancelled my appointment to sign consents tomorrow with my current clinic and now I'm just trying to get up the brass cohones to call them and tell them I'm taking my three "not great" embryos and getting out of there.

We'd still have some deciding to do after an FET because if we're doing a fresh cycle, I might want to go to the 2nd RE instead of this guy. This doc does ICSI with 100 percent of his patients and I'm not a fan of ICSI in our case, where it doesn't seem to be indicated.

I'm unsure of what the exact timeline would be for an FET transfer. I'm also wondering whether jumping around from clinic to clinic like a drop of water on a frying pan is a good move. If we're going to discuss going to another doc for a fresh cycle anyway, should we just stick with the one who brung us for this FET and then start over afterward?

Not sure. Mr. Scoop is 100 percent against our current RE, and I'm inclined to agree that he's right, but for some unknowable reason I'm still scared. Is it possible that I'm just so unwilling to make the breakup phone call that I want to stay with a doc and a clinic I don't like or trust? Jeez I hope not.

I say take the plunge and break up! Esp if Mr. Scoop feels that strongly (can you make him do the break up call?)

Scoop, you can do it. If you don't change clinics you'll likely regret it. You've been unhappy and NO ONE should be at a clinic or with a doc they don't trust.

I agree that if both you and YH don't feel good about your current RE, it's time for a break up. I think you'll be happy in the long run that you did it. I know it's not easy, but you can do it!

Put your big girl panties on and breakup, it's time to move on. And get a calendar immed to get this cycle going. Also sometimes its cheaper for you to pick the embryos up buckle them in and then return the transport container later.
