I'm debating on buying DS1 a pair of Sperry's for summer, but they're 40. Which seems like so much for a pair of kid shoes, especially toddler ones. They should last so that DS2 can wear them, too, when he gets older. So there's that. But gah, I don't even buy myself 40 shoes.
I did try looking at all the consignments sales in the area, but no luck.
So maybe I should rephrase my question to, what's the most you'll spend on a pair of kid's shoes?

I usually buy DS's shoes at stride rite so I spend 40 or more. But He doesn't need shoes all that often so I usually hit the sales, use coupons or shop at the outlet.
I know I'm in the minority but I really don't spend a lot on DD's shoes. She still has REALLY small feet. She's almost 18months and still in size 2-3. The majority of her shoes are hand-me-downs from my niece in great shape and adorable. The few pair I

$150 is the most I've spent I think.
Her shoes run in the 60-$100 range, with her summer sandals being cheaper around $40-$50.
I'm cheap with shoes. Generally around $25. I did spend $45 on running shoes for DD#1 b/c she has wide feet and we couldn't find cheaper ones that fit.
My kids generally get their shoes from Payless and Target.
I spend a lot more on my DD's shoes because she's in school, and I want them to last and also be decent quality for her while she's at recess and P.E. So, $45-$50 on sneakers for her. I'll spend a bit less on sandals that she's going to wear during the
I'm willing to pay about $50.00 for something she'll wear often (tennis shoes, barn boots).
Everything else (dress shoes) Whatever is cheapest on Target Clearance.
I shelled out $40.00 on some cute New Balance on Amazon for her. Worth
I think the most I have spent is $30. I go to the Stride Rite outlet and can get two good pair of shoes on sale there for what one pair costs at the regular store.
We have an Olly Shoes around here too that has a decent clearance sect

I spend $20-$40 and always buy from stride rite. My pedi never ever gives advice on anything unless you specifically ask and he went out of his way to tell us that they are far superior. Oh and FYI a famuily friend that is a podiatrist said to never le

Right now he has a pair of stride rite tennis shoes ($50) and a pair of nicer brown shoes for dressy outfits and for church ( $30). Thats all.
In the summer he had sandals and crocs.
The sneakers they have now are about $40. They each have one pair and that's it, so I don't feel bad spending that much on a pair.
OP, if your younger kid can wear them as hand-me-downs, you'll get a lot of use out of them.
