curious as to when your doctor did or is going to do your c-section. last time mine was scheduled for 39w1d, but i would like to do this one @ 39w4d if my ob will let me...not sure if that is to late or not.
Mine will let me schedule any time after 39 weeks but let me know that if I go into labor before the scheduled date, they will go ahead with surgery. We are planning to schedule at 39w5d.
First time around I didn't know I needed a c-section until I was 39w0d and my OB offered to schedule it for that afternoon, but it was my birthday so I decided to schedule for the next day (39w1d) so we wouldn't share a birthday
My OB said they won't schedule before 39 weeks but after that they can schedule whenever, just to be aware of the fact that the longer you wait the more likely you'll go into labor on your own. I will be scheduling my c/s at my next OB appointment and I am going to try to get 39 weeks exactly just because I'd like to eliminate as much chance for a surprise as possible

This. I scheduled my c-section for 39w2d. My other option that week would have been 39w6d because my OB was only on the surgery schedule on those two days. The OBs at the hospital I delivered having a rotating surgery schedule, so if I would have gone into labor before my scheduled c-section, I would have ended up with the on-call OB.
Mine at 39 weeks!! Which is 2 weeks from today at 1pm!! Can't wait!
After years of struggling with infertility issues (PCOS since I was 16) and 15 medicated cycles we finally got blessed with our son. We got lucky with our 7th IUI using stims...Now we are back on the roller coaster to try for another miracle..IVF cycle in May resulted in a chemical pregnancy. 2 snowbabies FET 7/16-transferred 2 blastocyst...Faint bfp 4dp5dt!
Mine is scheduled for 39w2d. I like that as that is when my DD was born (emergency c-section). I have a feeling I'm gonna go earlier than that, though...
Mine is scheduled for 39 weeks on the dot due to complete placenta previa... If I go into labor any earlier or have any bleeding, it'll most likely be sooner.
Before I became high risk I was down for 10 days before my actual due date. But it wasnt elective. I had to have a csection for medical reasons.

Mine was scheduled for 39 weeks, at my choice. I was allowed to pick a date anywhere from 39-40 weeks, I just wanted it done before the new year since I was picking. I didn't want a new deductible to start!
My first c/s was at 37 weeks 1 day due to pre-e & and a failed induction.

Most will schedule you for any time after 39wks. I wanted 40wks exactly because it will be the week before my older 2 kids last day of school. But that wasn't an option because I've had 2 previous CS and the risk of uterine rupture goes up with every one. So I'm scheduled for 39wks. Can't wait until May 7th :-)
