Wait time at doctors

Does your doctors office run on time, or within 15 minutes of your appt. time? No matter what time I make my appointments for, I always seem to wait at least an hour past my appt. time. It's so annoying. I was one of 3 people waiting in the office this morning and my appointment was at 9:30. I didn't get called back until 10:15 and then I sat and waited in the room for another 20 minutes. I find myself becoming less patient as this pregnancy progresses so I didn't say anything. I'm just wondering if this is the norm for people.

Re: Wait time at doctors

  • I'm often waiting 45 minutes.   Monday my appt is at 9am, which is the earliest I've had, so we'll see how that one goes...hopefully shorter.

  • My doctor's office is pretty good about it. Then again I fight for the morning appointments so I can get in and out before DD's nap. Usually if you are first in the morning it goes pretty quick.

  • Mine depends on the day. A couple of times I've only had to wait a few minutes but my last appointment was supposed to be at 3:30 and the doctor didn't come in the room until 4:20 : / She said the appointment before me was a FTM with a LOT of questions so

I always seem to wait forever. I am used to it now, but it annoys the heck out of mh. I rarely leave home without a book, but I always make sure I have one when I am heading to the Doctors.

  • For the most part I don't have to wait long. The times it pisses me off is when you get there five minutes before your appointment like you're supposed to and the some lady shows up and she's fifteen minutes late for her appointment. So they take her firs

  • I usually only wait about 5 minuites at the Doctor.  The only exception is when we went in for our a/s.  They had to do an emergency u/s for another patient that day and the tech got backed up.  We ended up waiting an hour to for the u/s.&n

  • 10 minutes was my longest wait, but I was also five minutes early.  I go to a small midwifery practice.  My appointments are always about an hour and they space them out 1hr and 15min so there's plenty of wiggle room.

  • It completely depends on the day and the doctor I'm seeing. I have "my" OB but there are 4 other OBs in the practice and you have to alternate doctors throughout your pregnancy. My doctor is really popular and I've had to wait an hour after my appointment

I  usually get in and out of my appt in about 15-20 minutes total. It hasn't mattered the time of day, either.

The u/s, that is a completely different story.
