Mommy preference

My LO has major mommy preference, especially at night, and it makes me feel bad for DH!  She will be wailing and wailing for him and as soon as I take her, she stops crying and is happy again.  I'm sure this is totally normal, but are your LO's doing this?  Does anyone know when babies typically grow out of it? DH wants to help out at night by putting her to bed, but it ends up taking twice as long because she's so upset. :(  Why do babies do this?

    I keep telling DH that she'll go through phases of prefering one of us over the other. Soon enough she'll only want me when she needs comfort because she has a cold. The rest of the time it will be Daddy.... Meanwhile, it is usually when she is still hun

    We have the opposite in our house. Pre-bedtime nap at 7:30, LO wants me but bedtime 9:00p - 9:45p, he wants DH. We just go with it & DH loves the special Daddy-time & I love the break =)

    Lurker from January board but we are dealing with a hardcore version of this right now. DD screams with DH. He only gets to holds get if she is asleep at this point and I was passing that it gets better and it freaks me out that you guys are a month ahead

    DD doesn't mind hanging out with DH during her wakeful periods but if she is hungry or tired forget about it... its all about mommy then.

    Even though DH is working all day I always try to make sure we atleast talk on speaker-phone or face-time t

    My oldest preferred me to daddy until she hit about a year, and now she's a daddy's girl.... unless she's sick.  it's normal for little ones to have a preference, and to switch back and forth.  as long as your DH interacts with her she'll bon
