Port Discovery

I'm considering taking DD to Port Discovery next week since I'm off Mon-Wed. Is it worth it for a 22 month old or should I just do the aquarium? I wasn't sure if PD was geared more towards older kids.

TIA!

Re: Port Discovery

  • I have heard it's great for that age!  A co-worker's granddaughter went and she is 18 months and had a ball.  I plan on taking DS there during spring break as a latel birthday celebration.  DS is 24 months.

  • They do have a tot room with some fun things like sand table, climbing, puzzles. They also have a water room and grocery mart area. I think the you would be fine if you went during the week, most kids will be in school.

  • I have been wanting to take DS but was scared it wouldn't be appropriate yet. Glad to hear the LOs are loving it.

FWIW, PD does host field trips during the week...

  • I like the Science Center better - they have a great kids room.

  • They have a great baby and toddlers room!! And at 22 months she could enjoy some of the other areas too.

  • We LOVE PD. They have a great baby/toddler area. I've been taking DD since she was around 9 months old.
