How to invite my co-workers to my baby shower?

My mom and mother in law are planning it but Im in charge of the invites/who to invite.

Id like to invite several girls from my job but rather than giving everyone there an invitation and singling people out, I thought of just hanging one up with a special note that anyone can attend (which I know they *all* wont).

OR should I take an invite and write a few names on it and then put "plus whoever else wants to attend".  For example, I really dont want to invite my boss but I dont want her to feel left out either.  If I give it to each one in private I know theyll ask the next girl if shes going lol.. ugh would if that persons not invited? Awkward!

  • I worked during my last pregnancy and the place that I worked at encouraged us to hang a sign in the bathroom if we wanted to do a mass shower invite. Usually only the people who you would really want to be there would actually show up but it was a good w

IMO, showers are not "invite everyone you know" type events. I wouldn't be hurt if someone I wasn't particularly

  • Obviously those wouldnt be my intentions... as Id be more concerned about hurting others who may have expected to be invited, but werent.  Because I know a few who are def expecting to be.. especially if I invite others there lol

  • I had three coworkers on my guest list. I think if they are invited to your shower they deserve to receive an invitation the same way as everyone else. I got their addresses and gave them to my mom, who then mailed them each thrir own individual invitatio

  • Just invite the ppl who you want. Bosses know it's not professional to hang out with employees outside of work, so I don't think she'll feel bad.

I don't like the idea of a mass invite. Just invite the people at work you're friends with, but by their own invite, sent to their home, just like any other guest. Showers aren't invite everyone you know.
