Babymoon on a Budget... Where?

My Love and I would like to go on a vacation toward the end of my second trimester, May... before everyone else is going on vacations. I have been searching for something down south. I found some cheap prices in Galveston, but I am not too terribly impressed by our options of things to do... Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Eh I'm not a fan of Galveston myself. It's ok, but I guess I've been one too many times. There is always Moody Gardens, shopping on The Strip and the old house tours for things to do. The beach at South Padre is better, but I can't remember what all there is to do. Have you considered San Antonio? Have fun wherever you decide to go!

    We're going to Port Aransas in a couple of weeks for ours...  Nicer beach and a little more "quaint"

    I'd go to San Antonio.  There's lots to do and I just really like it there.

    South Padre Area is nice .  Great Prices.  Still in Texas just closer to Florida.
