Throwing a shower for my stepmom?

My dad has been dating someone from work for awhile, he introduced her to us (my 14 year old brother and I -I'm 19-) as soon as they started dating and we get along amazingly. Back in january they told us she was pregnant (the baby is coming in june, I think) and I want to throw her a baby shower. Would it be okay for me to do so?
