Hotel survival tips?

Does anyone have any to share? We haven't stayed in a hotel with G since she was 8-9 months old and it was a freaking nightmare. I'd love some ideas to make it more enjoyable for us all.

  • We had to unplug the phone and alarm clock and put them on drawers. Once she found them, she would not leave them alone. We cosleep at home, so sleeping in a hotel bed next to me is fine for Alissa.

  • I second hiding from her. I have put L down and then tell her I'm taking a shower and hide out in the bathroom until she is asleep.

    We have also done the veg out and watch tv until you pass out kind of thing, but that was a little older.

  • I wipe down everything I know she will touch or put in her mouth, handles, chair leg, the remote (yuck). 

    Last time we stayed in a hotel O was 12m, she loved opening the drawers of the night stand, but didn't bother the alarm clock.  I

  • Bring a big tub of Lysol wipes! We also brought a travel sound machine, to mimic the sound machine she has at home, and drown out any hotel noises.
