Trouble TTC

Follow-up to Intro and First RE appt

Like a previous poster said about their first RE appt, I feel like such a weight has been lifted after my first RE appt yesterday. My RE went through my charts and thought that I most likely wasn't ovulating from the looks of them. Some of them from earlier looked good, but the more recent ones not so much. So there's an initial plan in place.

Step 1: I did bloodwork for TSH and Prolactin, and I heard back today that they were both within the normal range.

Step2: Instructed to call whenever I get my period to schedule my HSG. I was given a pamphlet that explained a little more detail, but it pretty much matched what he told me and DH during the appt. He also wrote a prescription for me to take antibiotics starting the day before the appt.

Step3: DH is geting a SA in a couple weeks at a lab over at Washington University (in St Louis). He's going to be over there anyway for a follow-up appt from when he had surgery back in November, so that works out.

That's the plan for now. After HSG we'll figure out further steps. He did mention the possibility of Clomid at some point, which is not surprising since I'm not really ovulating (and am on CD47 with no end in sight here--last cycle lasted 48 days and I had spotting for a couple days before AF came). Anyway, it's such a relief that something is happening and I'm not just flailing in a TTC abyss.

Now I'm going to continue watching some college basketball and cheer on my Hawkeyes in a couple hours. Go Hawks!
