Hello everyone(:
I have been reading entries for a few weeks now and decided I wanted to put my own on here.
My husband and I have been TTC for a year now. I am 25 and he is almost 24. I already have an awesome 5 year old from a previous relationship. After about 6 months of no conception (and one HELLACIOUS visit from aunt flo) we went to my OB. He diagnosed me with PCOS. This was in September of '12. I was currently on day 10 of bleeding so he prescribed me prometrium and chlomid. After 13 days of bleeding, I stopped for 2 days and then started again for another 7. When I started bleeding again my OB told me I needed to take my chlomid. So we did our first round of chlomind in October with no luck. I had a 2 day period after that cycle but we did not do another round of chlomid until January of '13 because of insurance issues, and we went to Disney for our honeymoon. When my period came in November it lasted 14 days, was gone for 14 days, then came back for 14 days. So in January when I went back to do our secnd round of chlomid my OB had me get my blood drawn of day 23 of my cycle to see if I ovulated. Well, I did not. So when I went bac again in February, he upped me to 2 pills of chlomid and again I had to get my blood drawn on day 23.
I am wondering what others have experienced on chlomind becasue I got my results back yesterday and again I did not ovulate. I actually went from a .6 to a .5 after they upped my chlomid. I will have been averaging a 34-36 day long cycle on my chlomid and am wondering if there is something else I can be doing. I will be going back to my OB in another week (or two depending on when aunt flo decides to pay me a visit) and I don't know if I want to do a 4th round of chlomid. Round 1 caused me severe blurry vision, round 2 caused me EXTREME irritability, and this last round has caused me alot of fatigue and nausea. My periods have finally become an acceptible length (thankfully). But with no vulation in 3 cycles I am a little worrie that chlomid just doesn't work with me. I like to be informed everytime I go to see him, and chlomid is the only thing I really know about. Any input and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Re: Intro & Input
Sounds like you need to get some more testing done BEFORE you take any more Clomid. Find a Reproductive Endocrinologist, RE, not an OB. The newbie link at the top of the page has some great info on all the proper testing that you will need and the moni
