we have a house rule that kids have to try everything on their plate for dinner. if they don't like something they're not forced to eat it but they have to try.
last week my son threw up during dinner as he had a stomach bug. he think it's from the new food he tried. everytime i ask him to try what's on his plate that isn't his preferred food, he starts crying and tells me he's going to throw up again if he does that.
any suggestions to help..i've tried telling him that the food is healthy, it will make him feel good and help him grow big and strong, etc but he's not buying it.

Just so you know what he's doing is totally normal. Even adults often aviod a food that they believe made them sick, even if there is no logical indication that the food was the cause. Some people will actaully get sick again if they eat the food becau
