Ok my son has been hitting...I have tried all the tricks I can think of to get him to stop. He hits kids at school and sometimes hits us at home. He has been throwing toys too! Is anyone else going through this or have any advice on what I can do?
It's pretty much standard 18 month to 2 year old behavior. Just keep telling him no and showing him gentle touches and helping him with trying to verbalize. He'll grow out if it.
I think it is a phase. Ds just started hitting this week. I think that they get frustrated because they are unable to vocalize and communicate their emotions yet. I agree with lopes suggestions.
