Diagnosis from geneticist...

Deletion on chromosome 15. 15Q24.1 syndrome. Apparently it's very rare. Anyone heard of it? We're surprised. DD2 has global delays, but we didn't think it would be anything like this. Most of the symptoms are spot on, but she seems to have a mild case thankfully. Her pediatricians have been trying to tell us she's on the spectrum.

  • Ugh! not working.....go to www.rarechromo.org then to the list of buttons on the right.

Click 'Registered Disorders' and "disorder leaflets".

Scroll down the list and find the 15q24 syndrome one.

It's exciting to understand the why, but like Assembly mentioned, I am finding we often go with the most easily recognizab

    .
  • Thank you for the info! We go back to the geneticist at the end of the month, so hopefully we'll have more answers.
