Have you gotten the "why don't *I* have a brother/sister?" question?
My son is three-and-a-half and he asked me that a few weeks ago. We were talking about our family and who my brother is and who his daddy's siblings are. And he asked me who is MY brother? I told him that he doesn't have one and he started crying.
I don't think it's because he has a desire for a sibling, really. But I think he thinks he's missing something that his mommy and daddy have.
Thankfully he hasn't brought it up since. But I'm trying to figure out what to tell him if he asks me again. I'm in the position where having an only child was planned (I know people who have onlies due to circumstance) and I want to keep it simple for his age.
Not really looking forward to that.

I think I'm going to take the "all families are different approach and ours is special because we have you to love" when/if this comes up.
FWIW, my brother is 5 years younger than me and I never expressed an interest in a sibling...when my pare
