New to the board...homemade detergent question

We are going to begin cloth diapering and I was wanting to make my own laundry detergent. Does anyone have a recipe for detergent that works good on cloth diapers? We are using AI2 diapers with bamboo inserts (if that helps). If anyone has any other advice or suggestions regarding detergent and cloth diapers, I would appreciate it.

    I asked this awhile back and the answers I got for the most part was that most people who try to make their own generally end up with some kind of build up issue, but soap nuts were suggested to me, and so far they are great :)
