what's too much weight gain?

I'm at 14 weeks. 5' tall and was in athlete shape pre-pregnancy (16% body fat). My first trimester was rough and all I could stomach was starchy foods and fruit. Now in my 2nd trimester i'm able to eat more balanced nutritious meals and workout regularly again but I've already put on 11 lbs! Is that too much?

  • I am 20 weeks and gained about 20+ pounds! I went from 96-98 pounds to 120.6 pounds! Apparently I am right on track, I was considered underweight so they want me to gain more weight. I am also 4'7" so really short. They said I should gain like another 10

  • I'm just over 14 weeks and have gained 11lbs too. I'm not stressing, just trying to make sure I monitor quality and get exercise.

  • 26 weeks and have gained 25 lbs. My OB said about 4 lbs a month.

  • At 16% body fat you were definitely on the low end for healthy female body fat % so I wouldn't worry about the weight gain.   I was very similar in body fat % to you before my first pregnancy and gained close to 50lbs. It all came off no problem.&nbs

  • From your prepregnancy weight, you should gain 5-10 lbs by 20 weeks and 1 lb per week for the rest of the pregnancy. Obviously this changes if you are underweight or overweight.
