Amber teething necklace

Have any of you tried an amber teething necklace?  If so, what are your thoughts/recommendations?  I'm considering getting one for my son, but I'm just not sure.  Any feedback would be welcome.  Thanks!

    Well I won't be much help, but my DD wears one all the time. I have nothing to compare it too though. She had one rough day with each of her two teeth. I have friends who swear by the necklace. I would like to think it helped?? I mean it could have been much worse. She didn't get a fever or anything. But then maybe she wouldn't have without the necklace! Sorry for not being able to answer your question...but I thought I would let you know my experience.

    Bought one for my son as a last resort.  He would be so cranky and we could not figure out what was wrong.  It was a life saver!  I can tell the difference when it is on and when it is not most days.  My mom thinks it is all in my head, but I told her even so it makes me feel better and I think it helps him so whats the harm in it?

    IM not sure either but I got an anklet for DD to give it a try. I just started using it yesterday so Im not sure if its working or not. A friend had one for her son and she didnt notice that it was working until it fell off one night at he was up 5 times when he had been sttn for months. She realized it was off and put it back on him and he didnt wake up again until morning.

    LOVE it.  DS had been teething hardcore and chewing the mess out of his hands. I started using the necklace and his fingers havent touched his mouth since.
