My husband and I are stationed at Spangdahlem AFB and I want to donate cord blood. Have any of you done this overseas and know how to go about it? I can ask my Dr. when we go to see him next month, but I wanted to get a head start on it. TIA!
I do not have any input on your question, but I do want to say that I am jealous. Spang was our last duty station and we retired out of there. I miss it terribly and we would have actually statyed in the Air Force if we were able to stay on
I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think if you give birth in a German hospital, they will automatically take it. I know with both my DSs, I saw the doc draw blood from the cord into a vial. I never really did think to ask about it though.
