Migraine help

I've had a terrible migraine since 1pm yesterday (27 hours)...I didn't think that I could hurt so much for so long. I spent all night vomiting and had to call out of work today (and I never call out!) I see the doc again on Friday and will talk to him more then, but the nurse at the office today said that there isn't much they can do. Sometimes they can Rx Fiorciet but they don't like you to take ANYTHING in the first tri. Also, I haven't been sleeping. Is Benadryl at least safe? They don't want me taking that either, but I know some docs recommend it without issue. Insomnia, vomiting, and migraines just don't mix :( I tried Acupuncture today and nothing...

    Ugh I'm sorry! I have the worst migraines as well and it was awful in my first tri. 

    The only thing I could do was take a Tylenol (if it wasn't severe otherwise there was no point) and drink it with a coke. The caffeine helped some, and my d

    Sorry... I've only had two since being pg, but they both sucked.  I took some tylenol and tried to convince myself it was going to do something (of course it doesn't).  I had to take a day off for the first and 1/2 day for the second (working

    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d

    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d

    You can take benedryl, yes.  Fioricet is also great, but they do prefer not in Tri 1 if possible.  Try taking tylenol and having some caffeine (a soda or cup of coffee) those are two of the ingredients in fioricet.  Things that have also he

    Thanks Ladies so much for your help. I will be going out tomorrow for some Lavender and am just going to take the Benadryl tonight so I can at least sleep a little. The Tylenol is like taking a placebo pill so might just forget about that for a while, and

    That's crazy that they won't give you a prescription. I would call and ask again. I had migraines w my first pg and they gave me a prescription that helped a lot! Migraines are very common around 10-14 weeks.
