Etta vs Eleanor

DH grandma's name is Jane. I love Eleanor Jane bc it is beautiful and classic but I think it's popularity is on the rise. Today I thought of Etta Jane, (Etta James), which is not as elegant but I like its simplicity and I've never known anyone with this name. Oh, what to do? I love them both.

I like them both! But if you're going to use Jane as the middle name, then I'd go with Eleanor. I don't love Etta Jane and it reminds me too much of Etta James.

I like Eleanor a lot. I agree, Etta Jane reminds me of Etta James and I just overall like Eleanor much better.

LOVE Etta! There are too many El names nowadays too.

ETA: If you want a full name you could go with Henrietta or Loretta. But I personally like just Etta.

I love Eleanor and Eleanor Jane is beautiful. Etta is great too, but I prefer it as a nn. Also, Etta Jane is too close to Etta James for me and therefore I wouldn't do it.
