Third C-Section/Dermoid Cyst Removal

I'm going for my third c-section on the 30th of April. I am extremely nervous, though I know what to expect for the most part.

I have to get a cyst removed during the surgery. I am sure in comparison to getting the baby out, this is a simple and quick thing, but just the thought of something being different this time around throws me off, making me feel like I don't know what to expect! Also, I am getting a tubal ligation, so I truly hope the surgery isn't *too* much longer than it usually is because of those two things...

Has anyone else had either a cyst removed or a tubal ligation during a CS? Or both? If so, how much longer were you in surgery, and did you notice any difference in the healing process because of those things?

  • Had a tubal during my 4th c-section. Easiest surgery (and my shortest!) and easiest recovery.........

  • I havent had it done but I am having it done next month as well. My cyst is huge 15cm and I already had it drained from 30cm two weeks ago. I will also be having tubal. I just asked my dr today and in my case he said about an hour longer for me but I will

  • I had a cyst on a fallopian tube removed during my 1st c-section.  Maybe extended the surgery a few minutes compared to my second c-section.  No tubal ligation experience.  Good luck!
