Hello ladies! I have been lurking for a little while now and thought I would introduce myself. My DD was born February 17th at 29 weeks 1 day, she was 3lb 3oz. She will be 33 weeks on Saturday and Sunday marks one month in the NICU. She has a PDA, was given indocin and it has closed significantly. She remains on cpap but no oxygen and they are starting to wean her to a nasal cannula hopefully by the weekend or early next week. Feedings are going well (by feeding tube) and she now weighs 3lb 12oz, yay! I am so excited for her to get out of the isolette......I just want to be able to walk in and pick up my baby. This journey has already had many ups and downs and it seems to be getting harder on me the longer she spends in the NICU. Everyone says there are many highs and lows, and I know that, but it doesn't make the lows any easier.
Anyway, I am looking forward to learning from you all and to getting to know you all better.
Re: Intro
Welcome. Even thought the preemie club is one no one wants to join, its a wonderfully supportive group.
It sounds like your daughter is doing well. I hope the rest of her NICU stay is as short and uneventful as possible.
