It may be in our future. I admittedly have not explored beyond just thinking it may be a possibility. Once she gets to kindergarten and evaluated by the school, we will assess if we will homeschool at least until middle school.
Honestly, having an only child is one of the biggest reasons that I will NOT home school. I think that would create a really lonely learning environment for her.
I want her to learn social skills, but also have the opportunity to work
I almost included a question about where you live and if that affects your decision - I live in a jam-packed city so homeschooling is extremely social! Even going outside is a social situation - we don't have a yard. There is only a jam-packed park. So
The thought has never crossed my mind - and I AM a certified teacher! I want DD to go to a school. I haven't yet decided between private and public though.

We have a while to decide, but it is an option we are considering as long as I can get my business going full-time by then for us to afford me to quit my full-time job. The school district we are in is a sub-par district and there is a huge homescho

Absolutely not. I have two degrees and I work with teachers and schools and state standards every day, and I know enough to know that I don't know enough to homeschool.

Baby isn't born yet, but I do plan to homeschool. We live in an area where the public school system is really really horrible, and we don't have the means to send her to a private school. A woman that I work for has homeschooled (unschooled, actually)

Nope. I know our school district has better teachers than I could ever be.
If, for some reason DS doesn't respond well to the traditional classroom setting, I would be open to it, but I can't see that happening.
No, we don't homeschool. I never had the desire to, really.. was never a thought. She goes to a public school, and loves it.
This, plus we can't afford to give up my salary
